Frederiksdal Kirsebaer Vin

Starting Saturday night with somethinga little different. This is a bottle of cherry wine that I picked up from Mikkeller. It’s made using the same cherries that they use in their amazing Frederiksdal Cherry Spontan beer. This is different from the it’s more sour counterpart, in that it hits you in the face immediately with massive, sweet cherries. It’s quite cloying, very sweet and very much a “pudding” wine. It would be an ideal substitute for port with some cheeses. In short, I like this a lot. Seek it out.
