Burns Night Special

Happy Burns night to all my fellow Scots, and to our English neighbours that wish they were Scottish šŸ˜‰ We’ve done haggis for dinner, kids are tucked up in bed and I’ll no doubt have a wee dram later on. But for now, I’ve decided to have some Cranachan. This is a collaboration between Cromarty and Buxton, based on the traditional Scottish pudding. It’s a scotch ale, brewed with loads of raspberries, oatmeal, cream and honey. It then went on to be aged in Highland malt whisky barrels. It’s a stunning beer, a big, boozy pudding in a glass. It does exactly what it sets out to do. This was my beer of the year back in 2018, and nearly two years later it’s held up extremely well. My only regret is that this is my last bottle, but at least I saved it for an appropriate occasion. Time for a rebrew perhaps? SlĆ inte mhath!
